Frequently asked questions

Is the Free plan really free?
Yes. The Free plan is free forever with no credit card required. It includes 1,000 monthly active users so you can evaluate flags in a real project before upgrading.
What is a monthly active user (MAU)?
A MAU is a unique end-user identity your application evaluates flags for within a calendar month. We count distinct identities, not evaluations, so a single user checked many times still counts once.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your billing settings. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period.
What happens if I cancel?
Cancelling a paid subscription drops your organisation to the Free plan at the end of the period. Your projects, flags, and history stay intact within the Free plan limits.
Which plans include code references and stale feature notifications?
Both are available on the Business and Enterprise plans. Code references are scanned in your CI by the RedPennon CLI or GitHub Action and pushed to RedPennon—there are no repositories to connect and no OAuth. From those references plus runtime evaluation data, RedPennon surfaces stale feature notifications for flags that are safe to remove. GitHub is supported today, with GitLab and Bitbucket coming soon.
How does the Jira integration work?
On the Enterprise plan you can link feature flags to Jira issues. Install the RedPennon app from the Atlassian Marketplace, link it to your organisation with a one-time code, then add Jira ticket IDs to any flag. RedPennon pushes the flag's status and its per-environment variations straight into the issue's Development panel in Jira, so engineers see flag state without leaving their ticket.
